Full text: I-Mfd 1, ff. 111v-112r
Translation: Eva Ferro

Full text:

Haec est sedes gratiae,
Sedes pudicitiae,
Sedes summi dei.

In hac sede residet
Dominus qui praesidet
Universae rei.

Sicut vellus maduit
De caelesti rore,
Sic venter intumuit
Servato pudore.

Nec vellus corrumpitur
Imbre pluviali,
Nec pudor amittitur
In conceptu tali.

English translation:

This is the place of mercy, the place of virtue, the place of the highest God.

In this place lays the Lord, who looks over all things.

Like the fleece dripped with the celestial moisture, so the womb swelled beholding its chastity.

And just like the fleece isn't ruined by the rain, also chastity isn't lost in such a birth.
