Ave cella novae legis,
Ave parens novi regis
Sine viri semine.

Ave virgo mater facta,

Flos productus est de spina
In quo sedet mens divina
Regens omne saeculum.

Ave mater Deo digna
Placa nobis, o benigna,
Tua prece filium.

English translation:

Hail, chamber of the new law, hail, mother of the new king without the seed of man.

Hail virgin made mother, happy and virginal mother, splendor of every woman.

A flower was brought forth from a thorn, wherein sits the Divine Mind, reigning for all eternity.

Hail mother, worthy of God, placate your Son for us, o kind one, with your prayer.
