Salve mundi lux et vita
Pretiosa margarita,
Dei mater et amica.

Ave mundi spes Maria,
Ave mitis, ave pia.

Ave virgo flos rosarum,
Consolatrix animarum.

Tuae precis interventu
Angelorum nos concentu
Fac gaudere iugiter.

Ora Christum deo grata
Ne involvant nos peccata
Et tempestas obvia.

English translation:

Hail light and life of the world, precious pearl, mother and friend of God.

Hail Mary, hope of the world, hail mild, hail pious.

Hail virgin, flower of roses, consoler of the souls.

By intervention of your prayer make us forever enjoy the melody of the angels.

Pray God, you that are loved by Him, that the sins may not intricate us and drive away the storms.
